Life Magazine publishes pix from Dr. King’s last day

picture-11I can remember flipping through Life Magazine as a kid and being completely mesmerized by the photos. I was always amazed at the quality of the pictures and their ability to truly capture a moment in time. That whole “a picture is worth a thousand words” thing was always true with Life Magazine. Now that they have created a website that showcases their complete archive of photos I find myself loving it even more! The site is still in beta but you can check it out any time. Today is as good a day as any because I just got word that Life has published their collection of photographs from the day Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. died. That was one sad day for this country. It is still a sore spot for so many in our communities. The photos truly help you experience the magnitude of his death. It’s not for everyone but I recommend you check them out!
